FAQ
What are Flip, Write, and Course?
They are the three editions for each level pack. Flip is the cheapest edition and is reveal-only in both directions. Write adds active typing from native language → learning language; learning language → native language stays flip-only. Course includes Write-style vocab cards plus explain cards, grammar exercises, and a more structured course flow.
Which edition should I choose?
Choose Flip if you want the lowest-price option for recognition and reveal practice. Choose Write if you want to actively type words in the target language. Choose Course if you also want explanations, grammar exercises, and more guidance through the level.
How much do the editions cost?
Flip costs A1 €5.99, A2 €7.99, B1 €10.99, and B2 €14.99. Write is €1 more: €6.99, €8.99, €11.99, and €15.99. Course is €4 more than Flip: €9.99, €11.99, €14.99, and €18.99.
Does one edition unlock the others?
No. Each edition is its own product. If you buy Flip, for example, Write and Course are not included automatically. Switching to another edition currently means a separate purchase.
Which levels are available?
Regular level packs are available for A1, A2, B1, and B2. In the catalog, each level appears as one row with a picker for Flip, Write, or Course; detail pages compare the editions side by side.
Are there A1–B1 bundles?
Yes. Each edition has an A1–B1 bundle with three decks: Flip €19.99, Write €21.99, and Course €29.99. Bundles save money versus buying A1, A2, and B1 separately in the same edition.
Which languages are available?
In the shop: German↔Spanish, German↔English, and English↔Spanish — both study directions for each pair.
What does study direction mean?
Direction sets the language you study from. German–Spanish trains from German into Spanish; Spanish–German trains from Spanish into German — same idea for English pairs.
What about the Pflege or nursing pack?
The Pflege/nursing specialty deck is available as Flip and Write editions — there is no Course edition for nursing.
What format do I receive?
Each pack is delivered as an Anki .apkg file. Import it into Anki, then study on your devices.
Do I need Anki?
Yes. The packs are made for Anki Desktop, AnkiDroid, and AnkiMobile. Anki is free on desktop and Android; on iOS, AnkiMobile is a paid app from Anki. LangPacks is independent and not affiliated with the Anki project.
Is there a free sample?
Yes. The sample page has excerpts from several decks — no sign-up and no email. You can download up to three samples per visit.
Can I share the pack with someone else?
No. Your purchase is for personal use only. Please do not redistribute or publish the file.
Is VAT shown?
No. LangPacks operates under the German small business rule, § 19 UStG. VAT is not shown; the displayed price is the final price. There is no subscription, just a one-time purchase.
Do I need an account?
No. You can buy without an account and receive the download link by email. An optional email or Google account helps you find your purchases again later.
What makes LangPacks different from free AnkiWeb decks?
Free decks are often incomplete or inconsistent: missing audio, no phonetics, mixed card formats. LangPacks decks use an edited format with image, audio, IPA, example sentence, and conjugation; depending on the edition, you study with flip practice, active typing, or additional course content.
How do withdrawals work for digital downloads?
For purchases with instant download, you consent at checkout to immediate delivery and confirm that the right of withdrawal usually expires as a result. The withdrawal function remains available as required by law; we review submitted declarations case by case.
Do the decks work with AnkiDroid and AnkiMobile?
Yes. You import the .apkg file into Anki on desktop and sync via AnkiWeb to AnkiDroid (Android) and AnkiMobile (iOS). Images and audio are included in the file.
